Big Eden is a 2000 film about Henry Hart (Arye Gross), a gay New York artist who returns to his small, Northwest Montana hometown due to his grandfather's illness and must deal with his unresolved feelings for his straight teenage crush Dean Stewart (Tim DeKay). The film also stars Eric Schweig as Pike Dexter, the shy Native American owner of the town's general store. The film won many audience awards at LGBT film festivals, and received generally positive ratings from critics, who have described it as unrealistic (due to the lack of homophobia in the titular Montana small town), but charming and heartwarming.
