Daniel Radcliffe (born 23 July 1989) is an English actor best known for his role as Harry Potter in the film versions of the Harry Potter series. In 2013, he filmed a gay sex scene as part of his role in Kill Your Darlings.

Sexuality

Radcliffe has been the subject of frequent gay rumors, but says he is straight.

LGBT Activism

He is strongly supportive of LGBT rights and has spoken out on many occasions about them. For example, in an interview with the British magazine Attitude, he stated:

The ultimate reason gay marriage should be legalized everywhere is because, as a kid, you look to your mum and dad and they're married, then you look at the gay couple who've been together for the same amount of time, but because they can't get married their relationship doesn't seem the same. Yes, gay marriage is about symbolically blessing a relationship, but the larger issue is about transmitting a fundamental message about equality. Gay people should have equality in law everywhere.[1]

He is also a supporter of The Trevor Project and has created several PSA videos for the organization. In 2011, he was given a Trever Hero Award[2].
