Derek Jacobi

Sir Derek Jacobi (born 22 October 1938) is a well known English film, television, and stage actor. Aside from his extensive work on stage, including two Laurence Olivier Awards and a Tony Award, among others, he is perhaps best known for his award winning role as Claudius in the miniseries I, Claudius. More recently, he co-starred in the British sitcom, Vicious, about a feuding gay couple.

He is openly gay and registered a civil partnership with partner Richard Clifford in 2006, four months after they were introduced in the UK.
